Ok, full disclosure. the version you two commented on was the second of three embarrassments. (I was so concerned to be first, it never occurred to me to actually be in tune) Molly heard the 1st version, in which i sounded like the whiny prince from monty python who wasn't interested in his betrothed's 'huge tracts of land.' ('but father, i just want to...SING!')
IT WAS AWFUL!
So I tried a different key so i could sing lower, that's the one you guys listened to... it sounded like i was sleep walking thru it. (maybe that's why i couldn't find the melody)
you are sweet to say otherwise, but...IT WAS AWFUL!
this brings us to the third embarrassment i just uploaded. It's still embarrassing, but I think i can live with it. I tried yet another key and just yelped my way thru it. It will never sound as good as Jefe's version, but that wasn't the point, all I had to be was first. And even after three tries, I'm still first! So I've got THAT going for me!
