If I Had a Camera,

I'd camera in the morning, I'd camera in the evening, I'd camera all the live long day. I would camera a nice sunrise shot accross the pasture with the Alabama hills on the horizon. I'd camera up some pine trees, and some mudholes and lots of bugs, but not too many pretty ones. I'd camera this groovy thunderstorm from my hotel window even though it wouldn't really show up that great because thunderstorms through windows rarely do.

French Sorrel

Have any of you hias ever had the pleasure of eating french sorrel? I've added it to my garden this year. Have you ever eaten the weed - sheep sorrel or sheep sour? It has the same flavor. I can't wait to use it in a salad. It has that delicious tartness. It looks similar to spinach. Whats really cool about it is that its perenniel...any kansas anyway.
I'm also trying lovage and burnet. Lovage has a celery flavor, Burnet has a cucumber taste. Also trying chervil, borage, and fennel. Do any of you hias use any of these herbs?

Spring Finally Sprung in Topeka

We had a nice day in the 60s today. I went hiking in the woods at the governors and hit a wet spot and fell completely down on my bottom. Didn't get hurt, but later ran into an ATA (Al Type Alert) and he fell down last winter and broke 4 ribs. I counted my blessing (1) that I only got muddy. Lets see, the midland fawn lilies are blooming in the woods, first wildflowers of spring.

Beach Bunny Travels Inland to Myaka State Park

A few weeks ago a beach bunny was spotted visiting Myaka State Park. She climbed a tower with her mother. The view was unusual for Forida in that they were able to see a great distance and look down on the tops of trees. Beach Bunnies are not noted for their ability to plan ahead. Descending, she commented how nice it would have been to bring a camera up the tower.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park, ND. Researchers from the Forest Service and National Park Service gathered to compare the quantity of 5 favorite snacks of the elk herd to the quantity of the same said snacks in previous years. None of these snacks were tequila.

The technician pictured is sending a signal to aliens who have a more precise memory than humans, so that when the researchers return in future years the aliens will be able to help direct them to the exact sites. They still will be looking for a nail in a hayfield, but it will be a smaller area of hayfield to look through.
